Some info about names in TDD

Posted by ZombieGhost - July 17th, 2023

Here is some information about The Detective's Diary you may not be aware of.

Yes, I took sometime to figure this out before naming my characters.

The goal is to be informational, nothing else.

So here is the meanings behind the names of my characters.

-----------

Garry's name meaning.

The Garry effect suggests that those with this name may have a natural tendency towards assertiveness, confidence, and independence. Garrys may also be inclined towards leadership roles and have a strong sense of responsibility and duty.

------------

John's name meaning.

Refer to simply graced by God..

The name John is derived from the Hebrew Yohanan, meaning “graced by God.” It is a solid, traditional name that exudes strength, smarts, and kindness.

------------

Maria's name meaning

Maria is said to mean “star of the sea,” “rebellion,” “bitter sea,” and “drop of the sea.” Maria is also associated with the meaning “beloved” and “wished for child”.

------------

William's name meaning

Simply put, strong-willed warrior.

The name, which means "strong-willed warrior," became popular after William the Conqueror invaded England way back in 1066. William became inextricably linked to the man and the legend, and the name remains incredibly popular to this day. Born in the year 1028, William the Conqueror was the Duke of Normandy, in France.

That's it for now. There rest will be there as soon the other chapters will be available for avoiding spoilers.

Thank you for your attention and have a good day!
