Possible bug. It doesn't seem to affect all messages, just some of 'em.
Oh, but you can still read the message in the reply box.
Me and my friend can't even see what I written. He is a little confused and I can't even tell him what's going on.

I just reported it in the bug report thread, hopefully it's an easy fix.
It seems to affect forum posts as well.
