I got to be honest, the simpsons are barely making any sense to me now.
The fact the humour is gone (Wish was why I loved it so much) then all
the characters are slowly starting to either degrading, disappears or
being erased. Damn, even the timeline is now turning against itself.
It's dead, the whole concept of the simpsons is being kept alive by pure
necromancy.. By the present owners. Who let it just be said.
They don't care, they really don't care about the simpsons.
Damn even the finale season is not even a finale season.
Plus the idea that Homer is now a Millennial is completely bullshit.
What is the simpsons in this era? A borderline parody of itself?
It's not.
The timeline shouldn't have been made, even in that concept.
A episodic show that don't change in the time it was set.
Can't even keep up with the new technology and so on.
To me, the simpsons died when Principal Skinner wasn't Principal Skinner
anymore. The first major sign of losing it's identity.
There is no more punch lines, no more packed jokes that made me laughs like
hell in the early 2000s. It's just a pop culture reference and it is staying as a
zombie show because of nolstagia of what it was.
If I was the lead directive of that show now, I would made like 2 more seasons.
1st part will be to wrap up every mysteries, characters that were never fully
fleshed out or gived credits for years.
Bring closure to possible. Then the last season will bring every jokes possible until
the finale episode where it's a good bye to the audience.
I wish it would ends that way, because I am sick of the lack of closing the loop.
And it will make people care about the Simpsons.

I know, it's been on a steady decline for some years now. I just hope they're either able to end the show, or get the humour and plot like what older Simpsons was like.
