Yes, I took sometime to figure this out before naming my characters.

The goal is to be informational, nothing else.

So here is the meanings behind the names of my characters.

Garry's name meaning.

The Garry effect suggests that those with this name may have a natural tendency towards assertiveness, confidence, and independence. Garrys may also be inclined towards leadership roles and have a strong sense of responsibility and duty.

John's name meaning.

Refer to simply graced by God..

The name John is derived from the Hebrew Yohanan, meaning “graced by God.” It is a solid, traditional name that exudes strength, smarts, and kindness.

Maria's name meaning

Maria is said to mean “star of the sea,” “rebellion,” “bitter sea,” and “drop of the sea.” Maria is also associated with the meaning “beloved” and “wished for child”.

William's name meaning

Simply put, strong-willed warrior.

I made a story about a detective if you are curious.

So far, I made little noises which is a good thing.

But I am expecting way more to do in this year..

I want to get recognition, but I am aware that takes time.

I want my partners to get the same success that I am seeking.

Since childhood, I dreamed to be an author.

And a game developer.

And a comic book artist..

And.. Getting a fishing permit. (Not random, I really want one)

But essencially speaking, my time to be recognized as an author seems to start well.

I do expect anything, but I am aware that my humble beginning is now here.

I will keep going, and make sure that I do not make too much mistakes.

Even if it's human to make such things.

On the other hand, things are going great.

Oh and I allow @wolfgentleman44 to use The Detective's Diary for making a voice story telling.

It's.. Not perfect.

But you can get some medals and the voice acter is really good!

@Guardias is the coolest narrator I know.

Too bad I cannot make the whole game in a day..

the 1st showcase seem to let the medals work.

There is like one guy who got everything.

So basically it's a good news, but I have to admit I expected more of myself with that showcase.

Like more details, animation that present the game and etc..

But hey, I can't be that hard on myself. It's a start..

So I made a game and I try to implement medals.

Because I never did this before, the medals are locked and not even tested.

I try to figure how to add this with my monkey brain, but I don't think I will be able to find out.

If there is a tutorial video somewhere or anyone who can explain step by step.

I will be grateful.

For the rest of the summer,

I am going to work on hand drawn scenes for the project, might show some if all is ok.

This gonna take awhile.

I have everything in my head, so that will be easier.

I will be working on Nene, Pico, Darnell and other characters for this next week

I did it.

It sure doesn't show all the script I worked on, but at least I can show the idea of it.

The real process is gonna take 2 years to complete.

With the help of the voices actors, I am gonna be able to make some animation too.

I am so happy, and kinda wish it was all done already.

Array are used in dialogue.

Which is the stuff I need to learn, about right now.

I need to know how to use X Y Z positions.

And make the dialogue functional.

I also have problem with objects respawning somehow.

I have 4 scenes made right now, which two are done and the other two are going to be done around the end of sunday.

And.. This is just the prototype.

It's look, Okay-ish.

Also the script is 1/10 done.

Did the artwork for Pico, Darnell and Nene too.

Done some homework about what will stay in the story and what won't.

I guess I should mention the rules in the game.

• No real people mentioned. (Except one guy)
• No real events mentioned.
• No Politics
• No mention of anything about the other games that involve Pico, Darnell and Nene..
• Story is purely fictional.
• And more if necessary.

My brain is tired of getting all this informations all together, and I didn't talk to my friends for about 1 and a half week.

I will maybe take a break this week-end.

And won't answer the messages I get for 2-3 days.

I really need a break, need to go touch grass or something.

I am happy from the results and that people want to join this project though.

I just like old movies and animations. Since I was born in the 90s.

My passion for art comes from various works from Warner Bros, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

To name a few..

Samurai Jack, Batman, Teen Titan and many other animations were my childhood.

The Iron Giant was a masterpiece.

Anyway, I am still working on that script.

I am on case 1, done the intro and chapter 1.

The prototype of the game is still in the oven too.

Man, I hope I will make this perfect at the end of summer.

Hi everyone,

Since some voice actors asked about the script.

I need to mention the whole story isn't done yet.

I was too focused on the gameplay and how to animate stuff..

Programming is still a pain in the ass. So the script was left on the side for a moment.

I will work on that soon, just give me a couple of days.

I know alot of people want to see what I am doing and etc.

It's just that I am alone on the majority of the project.

Some composer took part of the music at least.

But right now, I am alone on the major part of this.

I will prepare the script for the voice actors soon.

Hey everyone,

I made a prototype to figure how the game will work, right now I made 2 scenes that are barely functional.

But I am amaze by the result. I have of course a bigger idea of what to do, and want to make chapters

for this game.

Essencially speaking, I need to know what I am doing right now.

And that prototype is by far what will help me.

It won't have everything I have in mind.

There will be some ideas in it still, like interogation sequences, searching for clues and etc.

But after that prototype is done, I will focus on the real project.

Which will take me even more time.

But still I am very happy to say that this project is interesting to me.

Programming is cool, when you know what you are doing of course.

So the prototype might be on newgrounds at the end of july or around august.

If I manage to polish well this thing.
